"Great vacation for anyone, Staff is great Resort is clean and the food was the best yet. The only thing that was not OK was that we received a voucher for park and fly for 47.97 for a week parking. they would not accept it and we had to pay 84.99 EACH for 3 Vehicles for a week while we were gone to cuba. THat is alot of money for parking . Escape should omit or find another company that will accept the voucher. that was disapointing after spending so much money we had to dish out more. The location of the Barlovento hotel is great, I'll go again. Traveling on Sunwing was great also. the greatest staff and service anywhere."

"This was our 8th time at the Barlovento and we were very disappointed to see how it is going down hill. While we were there hotel ran out of butter, tea, red and white wine, dark rum, flour one morning, therefore no bread or rolls for lunch, one day even ran out of toilet tissue. Staff were still wonderful and we were able to enjoy ourselves anyways, however, could not recommend this hotel any longer."

"The price was good,the food was good, could use a bigger toaster for the mornings, could not go in the water 3 out of 7 days due to rough water and maybe because of all the jellyfish washed up on shore?? We prefer the beach rather than the pools."

"Yeah, my family definitely enjoyed our 7 days there. The food there is pretty good and clean, with lots of variety in the buffet.^^ We particularly like their natural yogurt in the morning. Well, of course there's occasionally flies, but think again, flies are always there; if they appear in one hotel, they are definitely going to show up in other hotels as well. "

"Going back for the Third time to this Hotel. We loved the location close to Shopping great for walking and across the street from the best pizza place in town!! Our room was clean, the hotel is very clean and we found something to eat @ the buffet every day but enjoyed the Great hamburgers & fries @ the snack Bar by the beach. The bread is the best youÂ’ll ever have! We did find that the food was better the first yr. Jan /07 than the last time Jan/08 but still found good food to eat and if not to your liking you can find Great cheap meals like Steak, lobster , prawns ect Right next door! The beach is beautiful for miles but can get very windy. Remember you are in Cuba a country of rations. This Hotel is a good as any other in Varadero! "
