"Anyone who says this resort is bad is insane. There were 5 of us girls that went together. We are all 23-24 years old and felt comfortable at this resort. There were families, older couples, big groups, etc. and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We met amazing people and would DEFINITELY go back to this resort! We had a triple room (only 2 beds but who cares) and a double room. They placed our rooms right beside each other which was perfect - 3116 and 3117. Rooms were right outside the pool, a 1 minute walk to the beach, and close to all the bars! The rooms were very spacious. The maid service came every day, not the same time every day however the rooms were ALWAYS cleaned! Our mini fridge was restocked daily with multiple waters, beer, coca cola and 7up. We tipped our maid well and left crayons, stickers, toys, etc. for her as well to give to her kids or her friend's kids that we had bought at home so treat them well and you will get that in return. We had an issue with our safety deposit box in our room however security came and checked it out and ended up switching our box for a new one. He was very friendly and got the job done!! The resort was beautiful. 6 a la Cartes if i remember correctly - mexican, brazilian, gourmet, japanese (really fun), italian, sports bar. And then a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was also another buffet down by the beach that had food 24 hours - snack type of stuff (french friends, pizza, hotdogs, burgers, etc.). There were enough bars - a main bar, a swim up bar, a beach bar (24 hours), bar beside the show stage and a disco at night. All of the hospitality staff was friendly. Some did not speak English well but they knew what you were asking for so it did not matter. TIP YOUR SERVERS PEOPLE! They appreciate the generosity just as much as servers at home do. Yes there are ppl walking around trying to sell you time shares and/or excursions offered outside the hotel. We were told not to do any of these excursions because the hotel is not responsible if something goes wrong. I believe this is common at most resorts in Dominican and a simple "no" was all that was needed for them to move on. It really wasn't a big deal. No need to get upset because someone wants to ask you a question. Politely decline (or accept if you want to) and remember that you are on vacation - just RELAX!! The beach - gorgeous white sand! Only issue we had was getting enough chairs for 5 of us. We learned that ppl save their chairs early on so we took turns and went down to save 5 chairs around 8:30-9am. Not something I like doing but everyone else was doing it so we figured why not! It's a code of conduct there - if there is a towel on a chair it's saved! Better that you learn that now. There is some wash up of seaweed but that's expected. The staff groomed the beach daily so it was kept to a minimal. That's out of their hands to stop!! Entertainment at night was really fun. Best shows I've seen at a resort! The last night we were there was Michael Jackson - we missed it however heard it was amazing. During the day there was always fun activities being held by the pool and on the beach. There were a few drinking games but there were always some that were suitable for all ages throughout the day. They did yoga, water aerobics, water polo, beach volleyball, bochee ball, dance lessons, etc. We did an excursion to Saona island. Took a catamaran there, spent a few hours on the island and had lunch. The beach here was so nice!! Took a speed boat on the way back and stopped at a natural pool in the middle of the ocean. Very neat to be standing in hip height water with only ocean around you. We also got to hold starfish here! I reccommend this day trip for sure! Just to point out, English is not a primary language here among guests. Most of the guests were Russian or French. Not an issue but just a heads up! I'm sure I missed some stuff but all in all it was an amazing week down South! I will definitely be going back to Punta Cana and probably at some point to this resort again! It exceeded all of our expectations. I'd like to thank Tim from Escapes for helping us book this trip - it was amazing and we appreciate your patience with the 5 of us!!"

"This is my first time taking a trip and staying in an all inclusive resort. I took my 2 kids to this resort and we loved it. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants, (food), the pool and especially the ocean, (which our resort was on). The entertainment was amazing, a different show every night. There was always activities to keep you busy...horseshoes, tennis, ping pong, games in the pool, and lots of activities for the kids as well. I would recommend this resort. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because on the resort there were people asking you to attend lectures on buying time shares and also lectures on other places to stay in the world. They didn't like to take no for an answer and they were a bit annoying. But from what I've heard, this is at every resort. You just have to be persistent when you say no.

"Staff does not wish to help you they try and ignore you that they can not speak good english unless you are asking them something that they may get a tip. I have been to Dominican 14x and never have I been treated so badly by a resort. They never had towels, nothing worked the safe, the door card, the toilets, and for 3 days the toilet above us gave us a shower 2-3x a day a nice shower of urine. And after all that when I went to check out the gentleman told me I did not pay for my safe which was 21us. I had my receipt in hand showing that I paid 21us but he said because it was not stamped it was no good so make sure your receipts are stamped and do not except a receipt unless it is. Because the girl that took my 21 and how many others got a really good day of tips in her pocket that day and how convienient she did not work on Fri. You pay all this money to go away and you are harrassed every day by phone calls and people calling your room to go on tours or can they take you to the new resort next door, why would I want to see that when I am discusted with the resort new or old it is the same staff and they were awful to say the least. So I will try my damdist to stop anyone from going to this resort do not waist your money or time it was awful."

"Fairly old building - found the staff to be quite friendly. Food was typical resort style in the buffet. Best A la carte restaurant is the Da Mario Italian - HIGHLY recommend. Food was excellent and very well presented. Entertainment nightly was fun and at times quite funny. Rooms were basic - would recommend the upgrade to building 7 or higher."

"Friendly staff. Pushy sales people (staff and local sales). English is not as commonly spoken as other places like Cuba or Mexico. Building 7 is excellent, but will cost $50 more per night. I totally recommend it.... huge difference. But ask for it at time of booking or as soon as you get there.... it's usually full."
