"You know.......it is always amazing to read at times about how "brutal a place is"....and it is ALL ABOUT HOW YOU LOOK AT IT. This is cuba, and you know what, the hotel was great, the staff were even better, and the location was superb! Very friendly, helpful staff, decent rooms, and the food was ok too. If all you want to do is relax, this is the hotl for you, however if you want to party, the hotel next door would be your place."

"We stayed at this hotel in March/08. The rooms are small with 2 single beds pushed together. Rooms have fridges which are stocked every other day. Suggest you bring your own hairdryer (rooms do have 110 volt outlets). Hotel is very clean. The safe in the room and beach towels are included. Pool area has palapas around it and there was no trouble finding loungers in the shade (either on the beach or at the pool). The beach is excellent and good for long walks. There are no alacarte restarants but food at the buffet was better than other hotels we've stayed at. Cuban coffee takes some getting used to - no decafe - you might consider bringing instant from home. Hotel was quiet at night. Staff were generally friendly and service was good (no long lineups at bars). Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the town. Nightly entertainment was OK and animation staff were active in getting people involved. There is internet access in the lobby for an extra cost. I would recommend hotel to people looking for a relaxing holiday (not for partiers). There is a bank next to the hotel that gives a better exchange rate that in the hotel but you need to present your passport to exchange money."

"Clean well maintained and landscaped. The rooms were small but very clean. Staff on the resort were very good. The beach was excellent. Evening entertainment was limited to a few outside productions with the rest being the resort staff. No discos so the younger crowd would be disappointed wit h this resort. There are no a la carte resturant for dining alternatives and the buffet is limited and repetitve."
