"Firstly we were upgraded from the Grand Pineapple as it was closed for renovation. Beaches was pretty darn nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Some minor details as we were without water for showering a couple times during the middle of the day. There was a busted pipe and they did get it fixed so no big deal. Water sports were great, kayak, sailing and snorkeling was ok. Felt very safe and secure at all times and the beach was the best. You could get what you wanted but were not bothered as the guards kept a close tab on everyone on the beach. We were a couple on our 20th anniversary so did not book a hotel with children....but beaches is Sesame Street themed. But once again no big deal....I would recommend this hotel for location if you are not looking for a wild beach scene, which is a cab ride away."

"The Beaches Sandy Bay is most deffinately a family resort. It has good child facilities, kid food, Sesame Street Characters, shows, a wonderful beach with lots of water activities to do. I would not go there if I did not have kids, as Sandals is much better for couples. The 3 minute shuttle bus ride to Beaches Negril is very convienant and the water park their is amazing! Our childrens ages range from 4yrs.-16 yrs. and all of them had a great time!"
