"I just read the review of the daughter who visited in July and had to scroll down to see if it was MY daughter that wrote it! Our experiences were so similar.
I have NO idea how anyone rated this place a 4star!!
The staff was very friendly and front desk personnel very helpful when we had to request a room change.
Service in all was not great. True about lack of cutlery and clean tables in the buffet, but they were happy to look after it if you asked.
The beach was so disgusting I only ventured into the water once for a short time. It was rainy season (and rained all but one afternoon during our stay), and naturally seaweed is washed up on shore. Unfortunately this hotel's way of dealing with it is to rake it in furrows atthe waters edge and let the waves carry it back to sea! Which means you swim in massive amounts of seaweed! Yuk :P
Rooms are very outdated. There was quite a problem with flooding during our stay, both from rain and apparently a pipe problem. Most rooms are very stinky. Either from cigarette smoke or dampness. This is evident on the rusty lampshades.
The food was okay. Best part of the meal for me was the caffe latte from the machine!
We had a fun holiday all in all, mostly due to the fun we made it and the people we met there. I would not reccomend this hotel or return to it.
P.S. Beware of timeshare vultures on the beach!! Do not get sucked in no matter what they promise. We wasted a whole afternoon trying to get out of their pathetic "lunch" at the Sheraton back room and then never did get the t-shirts that were promised!"

"My mom and I returned from our trip to the Bahamas today and I need to let you know that we are less than satisfied with our trip. The resort was terribly disappointing with a number of problems:
1. When we arrived at Breezes, after waiting for 30 minutes in line we were informed our room was not ready and we were deferred for 40 minutes and told to come back. We returned after the 30 minutes and waited another 20 to be checked in again. During this time, we had to leave a $100 deposit for "damages" to the room - which is both rude, inconvenient as it took up space on our credit cards and we weren't advised of this "feature" prior to booking the resort, and finally, it is laughable given the quality of the rooms. When we finally got to our room, it was not the deluxe room with a garden view that we paid for. We spoke to the front desk about this and they sent us to another room (we had to move our own luggage) which only had one bed. Finally, we got to the third room - again not the deluxe room we paid for as we were told they had none left - and then the resort double booked the room and set another couple to the room. Additionally, we were on a smoking floor - it should be noted that my mother and I are both allergic to cigarette smoke. The bottom line here is that we paid for something and did not get it at all.
2. The room did not have a fridge or any water made available to people at the resort. A resort that markets itself as "super-inclusive" should at the very least have fridge in the rooms with water available to residents. The room had one lamp with an ecno-bulb in it - hardly lighting that allowed for one to get ready in the evening for dinner or any other after-dark activity.
3. The bathroom - the shower and sink leaked all over, wetting clothing and other products we had in the bathroom (hair straightener, etc) and neither worked properly.
4. The room was not clean. The beds were made for us each day, but that was as far as it went. The floors were absolutely filthy - to the point where if you walked with wet feet across the floor the dirt lifted off onto your foot and you could see a white (clean spot) print on the tile.
5. My mother was sick as a result from the food
6. The buffet was terrible. Food selection was less than impressive and at every single meal we had to track down a waiter and wait for utensils. Further, we also had to wait for water to be brought and on a number of occasions had to file second or third requests for water (never mind the process involved for getting drinks) and/or forks in order to eat.
7. We had to request towels for the room several times and still were left without a bathmat and/or face clothes.
8. We were told the pool was open 24 hours a day, however, the towels had to be returned by 7 p.m. at night (and as they will charge you if you remove room towels from the room - it was difficult to swim after 7 p.m. even if the pool had allowed for it as the resort told us) or you'd be charged $15 per towel. Further to that, the photos on the Breezes website shows the pools as lit at night - and while the pools have lights they were unlit the entire duration of our trip.
We spoke with several other couples who were as unhappy as we were about the resort and also felt deceived. You and your company should be aware that in one case, a gentleman was sitting outside and the chair broke on him. As a result, he fell back and smashed his head open - there was blood running down his neck. The response from the hotel staff was to throw the chair out. I would hate for this to happen to one of your clients and then have them sue - as this man was planning to do when he returned home. In another scenario a couple spent three days without towels and their room flooded on a couple occasions.
The bottom line here is that the resort has been completely been misrepresented and we feel, for lack of a better term, ripped off. We booked time off work, paid for a flight and in the end did not receive anything close to what we paid for. Bad service, bad food, next to no drinks, and terrible rooms and resort amenities (by which I mean there were no amenities). We feel misled by the advertising of this resort - "all-inclusive" it was not - and would like a full refund. Breezes is borderline fraudulent in the way they market the resort compared with what one actually receives while staying with them.

"This resort has absolutely 'everything'. Water sports, great buffet, restaurants, pool, spa. It needs a facelift, but would rate it a '4 plus' because of what it offers. Location of beach is great. Would return again and again."
