"This hotel is a hidden jem in Cuba. The mountain Vistas and flora and fawna are amazing. A smaller resort of around 200 rooms it's busy enough but never too busy. I've been there 5 times in 2011. Every season has offered a different food delicacy to sample and a variety of fresh prepared foods to suit everyone. The staff are always friendly and will go out of their way to help you with anything you need to enjoy your vacation. Food was over the top this trip, winter in the mountains is harvest time. The ocean was beautiful and the boat trip to snorkel the reef was awesome. Lots of activities, scuba instruction and certification, paddle boats, sail and kyack, ride horses on the beach or in the mountains, visit the nearby village and join in the cuba night life. Tennis, Basketball, Pool volleyball, dance lessons, spanish lessons, hairdresser and manicures.
We had a wonderful Cuban Fiesta and pig roast at the beach restaurant and repeaters dinner. The entertainment is amazing and differs almost every night. I'll be heading back next month! Great place to visit over and over.

"This was our first family vacation and it was great, food was better than we thought, water was good, great friendly place to go if you love the view of mountain, ocean. Bus ride in was not that bad a little long but it was worth the drive. Not a party hotel which was good. Live entertainment was very enjoyable. My kids needed a little more activities to do since some of the sports weren't running like volleyball, tennis, basketball courts. But over all we would go back."

"Among the highlights were the live music concerts, at the pool bar in the afternoon, at the lobby bar at six and, on Christmas night and New Year's Eve, Orféon Santiago, a highly professional a cappella choir from Santiago that gave a preview in the lobby followed by an 8 pm outdoor concert.
Another highlight was the daily 8am walks into the surrounding village and countryside, with a guide from the hotel.
The only negative was undelivered promises such as volleyball (all their balls were punctured), tennis (bring your own racquet because although they have some available they are kept under lock and key and we couldn't find anyone willing to lend them) and various other "scheduled activities" that didn't happen. However, there were plenty of other activities to enjoy this piece of paradise."

"Me and my girlfriend have been there in August 2007 for 2 weeks....It was our 1st time to go together to a resort...The staff was AMAZINGGG, when I say amazing I mean we got everything from them (they were getting us food and drinks in rooms, and even staying in our rooms to continue partying, when we went outside of the resort to Santiago for a carnival they rented a car for as and drove us around and getting us whatever we needed)...The food was great in my opinion, and the bar had no problems when I came up for a drink because I tipped every day and did no care about it..The only thing that you might find inconvenient is that the office for Currency exchange and shop center did not open on time or was not even open for like one day in a week and you did not have any smokes...if you drink a lot and you need your smokes,....you know what I am saying"

"The location of the hotel is spectacular. We were pleased with the facilities, especially the tennis courts. The front desk staff were unfriendly, and unwilling to help with problems. However, the room and restaurant staff were very warm and friendly. The best thing about the resort is the location, very quiet and secluded. The worst was the food."
