"This is our third time traveling the Caribbean. We were very disappointed with the resort from start to finish. The staff only spoke broken English so we found it difficult to relay information to them. Our room was so run down you are warned by a note on the toilet not to put toilet paper in it. There was no hot water, the taps on our bathroom counter were "sinking" into the counter. There was water dripping from the room above us at the entrance to our room and in the bathroom area. Another tourist told us the water was dripping from the ceiling of his room too. There were ants in one corner of the room. The shower took 5 minutes to warm up and 10 minutes to drain. From the third day of our stay until we left there was the smell of raw sewage permeating at the end of our villa. They called our room at 10:30PM to ask about coming to fix the hot water. The air conditioning was broken too. This booking was so bad that they herded us to the airport 1hour before we needed to be. We ended up on a bus returning to Quebec because no one spoke English to tell us the Toronto bus leaves an hour later. We could go on and on but we paid for a four star resort and have never had a problem with the quality of the resort. Be warned, this is not a happy memory. It was our worse nightmare and a terrible waste of our hard earned money. "

"We stayed at the Gran Dominicus for one week. The beach was great, be sure to get up early if you want a chair. The staff was also good, they were very interactive and tried to speak all languages. The guests are from all around the world. Be sure to hit the pizzeria which is open nice and late. This is all and all a good resort for the price."
