"The resort was quiet, clean and a nice place for a retreat. Be aware that you are a good distance away from pretty much everything except a Casino and Cabareta, a very small town, good for some daytime shopping and that's about it. The food was plentiful but just adequate in taste and variety. The staff was quite friendly. Our first room was located inside the main hotel and it was atrocious but with some persistence, on our third day we were moved to a very nice room in one of the small outer buildings. Our Sunwing rep was no where to be found for the first two days which made booking excursions a little difficult but in the end it didn't matter because our hotel was so far out, very few of the excursions would come and pick us up. Our biggest disappointment was the beach. Definitely not your typical Caribbean beach. The sand was dark, and the water was extremely rough and dirty, certainly not a great place for swimming. Would we go back? Definitely to
Dominican, but not to this resort."

"The hotel was older and the first room we had was ok but the staff were wonderful and were able to help change our room. The pools didn't seem to be cleaned all the time as one pool started looking green. The animation Team was by far THE BEST!!!! I would pay just to go see them again. Always something fun to do!
The shuttle left us in the city and the beach is filled with dealers trying to sell you anything even free coconuts from a tree for $20 dollars. you really gotta haggle or say no to keep away from these vultures."
