"Was at the Hotel Ancon the week of 11 Jan 2012 to the 18th. The buildings are old the plaster is falling off the walls the concrete walkways in places has scaled so bad that you walk uneven plus some of the ceramic floor tile are broken and have been for some time. Upon getting up on the 12th I had a warm shower and a second warm shower on the 18th. Between those dates just cold showers where available and that was at 06:00hrs. The resort even onto the beach has a major "FLY" problem. Flies every where and they are extremely aggressive. The resort from what I could see was doing nothing about the flies which where over the food in the outside cooking areas and the bars. The meals were great and the food plentiful and of course the Cuban people were themselves, fantastic people as always. However I would not give this resort any more than maybe a 2 star rating"
