"hotel is need of renovation,ladies washrooms in lobby most faucets do not work. carpeting is fraying. some of the front desk staff not very friendly bartender at the looby bar,not friendly at all not many activities around the pool,only some days. would be nice to get a response from a person i greet sugestion place young single adults in separate building away from families maids were ok,most of the waiters were friendly sunwing reps very good and informative."

"Food was good, location good, loved the landscaping. Nightly entertainment and watersports were fantastic and included. Only problem was room smelled musty and needed updating. My only suggestion to traveling people to this resort is to NOT buy cigars from anyone(where) who is not a cigar dealer or shop. We bought fakes."

"Worst hotel I have even been to, and I have lots of experience with vacations in Cuba. I must say they improved on food and technology. But the management was horrible and the employees were the most unfriendly cubans i have even seen in my life, they just didnt care to serve you or anything. I had to switch rooms 5 times untill i got a good room, most of the rooms the air condition doesnt work and some rooms look like they're 100 years old, rusted sinks and rusted baths, the new rooms, which i had to argue for hours to get, are actually pretty descent. All in all this hotel is NOT a 4 star more like a 2 1/2. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, even if its very cheap price."

"*Food-substandard (old, not stored properly, little selection); pool food bar had very limited selection, did not cook food properly (raw burgers), and ran out of food constantly *Hotel Room-not cleaned well; problems with A/C; worn-out and stained bedding/towels; bathroom door broken (get locked inside); worm came out of shower wall while I was showering; cockroaches/ants/lizards/frogs in room; bedbugs (I have photos!) *Alcohol and Mix-very limited and ran out of both frequently (only had large stock of rum) *Customer Service-very slow; not very helpful; unorganized; very few staff spoke English; many were unfriendly; missing items and no "lost & found" (really??) *Organized Activities-extremely limited (twice weekly-aquasize; twice weekly-dance lessons; twice weekly-beach volleyball). Not satisfactory considering we had a week's stay. Staff was limited and not very enthusiastic or energetic. *Nightly Entertainment-shows were fantastic and had a good variation from day to day. *Beach Staff (Water Sport Rentals)-very friendly; multi-lingual; helpful. These employees are not regular hotel staff-they work for a watersport company which sub-contracts from hotel. The scuba instructor was a no-show at our hotel; however, the beach staff directed us to walk six hotels down the beach to his associates at Barracuda Scuba Co. and they were more than helpful! *Excursions/Tours-excellent service; multi-lingual staff; and, excellent tours. Overall Rating: 1.5 Star (definitely not the four star which was presented in the ads)"

"This was my first trip and it was a really good experience! I had a great time. Never having been to another resort, I was very worried cause the reviews were not so hot for this hotel but I went with an open mind. To my surprise, the food was good, the hotel was a two minute walk to the beach and the night life and planned activities were awsome. Everynight we visited a different night club! I would definitely go back to this hotel as is was cost effective and enjoyable."

"I travelled there with my two kids and a friend and her three kids. We had a very smooth check-in with very polite customer service. The rooms were very clean and we were given a cot so that my kids didn't have to share a bed. There was never a problem with the elevators like we have had at other resorts in Varadero. The food was limited in variety but very well cooked. The only problem that I didn't like was having to take the heads off my shrimp. Once that was accomplished they were very tasty. The pool was a nice size and we never had a problem finding a deck chair. We only had one day where there was algae in the pool, but they had it cleaned quickly. The entertainment was excellent and was a nice variety each night."
