"My wife and I booked this trip to The Oasis Cancun [by escapes.ca] very good price. It was 6 hrs flight to The Hotel, but took us 1 and 1/2 hrs to check in, very slow. Our room was just in front of the sea shore, very nice and clean. The beach is so beautiful with white sands and so clean. Some nights were noisy but still ok. Hotel service is good, food is good. My wife and I enjoyed this trip."

"The overall hotel was good. The rooms could have been better. There were leaking taps, not enough toilet paper left, not enough towels and check out time is too early. No courtesy room unless you pay for it. The restaurants were all excellent. Excursions booked through tour operators at the hotel were great. Pools were nice but bars were too far apart. Weather was great."

"I read all the reviews of this resort after I had already booked our 1 week all inclusive vacation at The Oasis Cancun. I was scared of what we were going to experience because most of the reviews were so bad. I can only tell you that our experience was fabulous. It is true that you cannot check into your room until 3pm so if you get in earlier be prepared to leave your luggage with the bellhop until 3pm. You do however get your wrist band and can immediately access the food and drinks! The hotel itself is huge, nicely decorated, with a great location. The food was fabulous, with my highest recommendation going to The Thai restaurant, and the Steak house. We stayed away from the buffets for the most part and we thought the food was fantastic in all of the A la Carte places. The drinks were great in most places, there was a long wait for the Beach Bar and if you were enjoying the Sea for the day you definitely got thirsty. The rest of the bars had pretty mellow line ups, and the bartenders were fantastic and worth their tips. The Sea has 8 foot waves so don't expect to snorkel or kayak in The Sea at this resort but definitely be prepared to surf or body surf the waves it is sooooo much fun! The pool was the best part of the whole resort!! It is basically 5 pools spread out throughout the property and is very well kept, comfortable, and relaxing! Just be warned that you have to be up before 8am to get a lounge chair before they are all taken.
The entertainment was great with live shows, daily kayak trips in the lagoon, bingo, poker, blackjack, and pool volleyball.
The other thing to mention is that most of the reviews I had read stated that these people wished they had paid the extra 18.00/night to upgrade to The Grand Oasis because they felt they were limited with The Oasis amenities. I can tell you 100% that we were happy we didn't pay the extra because we didn't feel limited one bit! We were allowed everywhere we wanted to go, to eat and to drink except for one structure which we kept hearing had awful food anyways. So my advice would be to save your money, stay at The Oasis! The one other notable mention is that this specific resort is inundated with under 30 year olds, so partying, drinking, etc is definitely the focus here. So if this doesn't fit your lifestyle i would stay elsewhere for sure. Also not a place really for kids.
We were also pleased with The Sunwing plane services as we were constantly being served food, beverages, and warm face clothes etc. It was great! Overall, I recommend this resort, this tour company, and this vacation package!!"

"Do not go to this hotel. I feel so bad for not listening to the bad reviews, I went and wanted to leave after the 2nd day. No airconditioning, no airconditioner, toilet was broke. Had three room changes and they gave us a bottle of water for our trouble. Everyone there compained the hole time we were there, numerous people had thier rooms broken into. There was not 1 thing I can say that was good. Beware and listen. "

"i traveled to Cancun 2 years ago now during spring break. The hotel was amazing, room was great, view was awesome. Beach was absolutely beautiful and tons of people. A party hotel for sure. The only bad thing i would say about the hotel during this time was it took extremely long to get drinks because of the busy atmosphere, especially at night. Also never ever travel with breakaway tours, they are a total rip off. They promised us a shuttle ride to and from the airport and we did not recieve either. We had to pay extra for a 30 min cab ride both ways and we almost missed our flight home."

"The food was good and a lot of variety of resterants. Biggest problem is hotel staff at front desk will make an appointment you think its with a co-ordinator for you vacation activities, but in fact it is with Royal Holdiay and they will take up your whole morning. Everything they tell you to try to sell you thier packages are lies. We learned the hard way and are now trying to get our money back, because not one thing that we were told was true, and there are tons of people with the same story from differant locations mexico, nassau, dominican, cuba ect. "OMG...what a dump, worst hotel I've ever stayed in, there is no way that this hotel is a 4 star. Drinks were not available after 1am, the food was very poor with no variety.....hotel room was never cold, most hotel staff was unable to communicate in english.....our room leaked water and was very damp throughout the night....... to name a few .We would never recommend this resort to anyone but would definately return to cancun"
