"I just got bacl from the Riu Bambu, this is not a 5 star for sure, i would rate it as a 3 at the most, the service was horrible, and the food as well, i was expecting better service. the only good thing where the staff, they always had a smile, Do stay away from this hotel, there are much better ones for less the money.,"

"This is a good hotel, the staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful. The beaches are absolutely amazing, white, soft and clean sandy beaches that stretch for miles. HOWEVER, this is NOT a 5 Star hotel. Who rated it as 5 Star? Based on What? This is a good hotel, but not a 5 Star. The only thing I would rate 5 star about this hotel is the staff, especially the bar tenders.
The food, the rooms, the lobby, and everything else I would rate between 3 to 4 star. This was my 12 trip to the Dominican Republic, I have stayed in 4 star hotels such as the Bahia Principe in San Juan that are much better in every way than the Rui that claims to be a 5+ star hotel. Will I go back to the Rui, yes, but I will never pay 5 star price."

"the hotel was nice , the beach beautiful but the beer and wine were terrible , the food was not the best , the a la cart restaurants were below standards the steak looked like minute steak for sandwiches we couldn't get a choice of beer or wine they only had draft and red and White stuff that didn't come from bottles that they called wine
will not recommend"

"This was our first vacation outside of North America and it was definetly one to remember. The beach was amazing (clean, full of activities, respectfull toursists etc). Their are two spacious pools, one with a big pool side bar with all the alchohol you can handle. Activities like Kayaking and water paddling are free and very fun. One problem was the resort workers, who are supposed to set you up with your activities aren't that helpful and the language barrier is quite evident. You have to be a little independant and adventurous to have a great time. The food was also very good and snacks are always available."

"The Riu Bambu is a fun happening resort.!!!! Beautiful beach and pool area, lots of available chairs, non stop activity. The food and a la carte choice was great. Awesome service that you would expect from a riu resort. A little older but very well kept and clean. Our room was made up early everyday, bar fridge replenished! We had a fabulous vacation here. If you are looking for fun and laid back this is it, if you want posh then better stay at the Riu Palace! All the Riu resorts are connected by a pathway so it's super easy to wak and visit each one.. We would go again in a heartbeat!!! "

"The hotel was a little old but the cheerful and helpful staff made up for any complaints. I do have to mention that the beds were very hard. Individual water bottles, like we had at the Grand Palladium, would have been nice."
