"Family and I enjoyed our stay at the Riu Negril. It was our first time in Jamaica. Great family vacation! Good memories. Beautiful beach, nice weather (rains for a short period since it's rainy season now but the sun always came back :) and there is a nice breeze so it isn't humid). Staff are friendly and the facility is clean. Food at the buffet is repetitive but still good. A la carte is excellent. Jerk chicken at the beach is juicy and tender! Claudia, the bartender, is always friendly. As for activities, our scuba diving instructor, Myron, is thorough and patient (good for first timers). Must go to Rick's Cafe nearby and watch the sunset and cliff divers. What a rush to jump off the cliff (drop properly however, so you don't injure yourself!). Got our hair braided right next to the resort along the beach - ladies are funny and nice (remember to negotiate). Fell in love with Bob Marley. His music touches the soul. Being in Jamaica lets you see first hand where he got his spirit from. Overall, had a great time. Highly recommend others to go. Remember to have an open-mind and just relax. No problem mon! :)"

"-Situated in Bloody Bay, the first hotel on the "strip"/. Beach was ok. Walk 5 mins towards the Riu Tropical Bay and the beach gets better. Take a 5 min cab ride to famous 7 mile Beach.

Staff was great, very friendly and were always busy maintaining resort cleanliness. Entertainment staff was awesome; they go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable, there was always something to do. Food at the Riu was superb, there was plenty to choose from. The buffet was better than the restaurants. Jerk hut on the beach was my favourite!

Rooms were spacious and kept cleaned by the maids, the maids even arranged our shoes for us! Refrigerator was fully restocked every 2 days.

Make sure you get a room in building 1 or 2, otherwise it is a far walk to the main amenities. No elevators/lifts at this resort, so if youre on a higher floor, there are lots of stairs to climb!

I would recommend this resort to anyone, it is very family friendly.

Overall, food was excellent, staff was excellent, beach is ok. Only downside is the set up of the resort, if youre not in building 1 or 2, prepare for a 10 minute walk to the main building.

"Me and my friend was at Riu Club Hotel last month...The Staff are amazing... They are really friendly and they make sure ur having a good time.... The food was good no complains...I have to give credits to all Entertainment crew they are marvelous....I will guaranteed that you will enjoy watching them...the only thing i hate is leaving the hotel.... over all me and my friend really had a great time and we will deffinetly going back next year!!!!"

"Hotel was great, staff was great, entertainment was amazing & food was excellent, everything is clean and very well managed; the only problem was it took 15 minutes to walk to our hotel room so it was very annoying if we forgot something and we had to walk back, the plus to that is it's a good workout!!"

"The hotel was great. The people were very friendly, helpful and nice. There were tons of activities to do, if you wanted to. But if you didn't, they let you be. There were always chairs at the beach and by the pool - so it wasn't hard to find somewhere to set up. We only went to one restaurant, the Steakhouse. It was okay, but the buffet was less of a hassle (not need to make a reservation) and the food was incredible. So much variety and all so very delicious. The people who work in food service were terrific - all very attentive and friendly They really make sure that you're happy. The rooms are lovely - refilled mini bar (amazing!) and plenty of towels. The only negative was some of the staff in the stores at the hotel, kind of rude and didn't seem to want to help. But that was really only a few people and I feel like I'm stretching to find at complaint. It was great. "
