"For those who like two vacations in one, the Tropicoco is exactly what you you're looking for: Situated across from a long beach sandy beach that reaches 5Km to the pretty little town of Guanabo, you also have easy convenient free shuttle service to Havana and all the wonders it contains. The hotel itself is serviceable, with plenty of variety in food and more that enough variety of drink. (No ice cream though!) Nightly entertainment is ho-hum. Despite what many older reviews state, there are no hookers readily apparent (your granny would feel quite at ease.) Our room, while basic, was bug-free and everything worked. Bottom line: If you don't enjoy yourself, it's your fault not the hotel's."
