"The animation group is full of energy and planning of activities is very effective. I highly recommend this hotel to families. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was exceptionally good. Grounds are very well maintained. Food was decent although it did lack a bit of variety. If I where to have to rate this hotel in Stars i would have to say that is more like a 3.0 Star hotel. "

"My wife and i have been to this resort for a vacation for the past 2 years now. It is an excellent place to rest, walk , eat, shop in town, and drink. Rooms are clean ,food is good, and the beach is so big and flat for walking. Staff is #1 on the resort. We will go back to the tangerine again, as everything we love is there. We have been to a lot of resorts but i think we have found our fav."

"This hotel is small, so you do not have to do allot of walking to get where you want to go. On the down side the buildings are tired and could use some upgrades, the beds are hard with small pillows however, the staff do work hard to keep the hotel clean. The grounds/garden area is well kept and maintained. The beach is beautiful, but do note that the ocean is not calm and smooth, but you can still have allot of fun swimming in it. The food is not bad, you won't go hungry. What is outstanding about this hotel and what makes this hotel a 4 star is their staff. Most of them are very friendly and go out of their way to provide good service. Because the hotel is small you do tend to see familar faces and socialize more. My Husband and I had a great time and would go back again, on a good deal. Please note that if you want peace and quite this is not the hotel to go to. I do highly recommend the Spa, the staff give great massages and well worth it. Do bring some really good bug spray, we tend to spend allot of time on the beach and got badly bitten by insects, skin so soft did not help at all. We flew in during tropical storm Olga and had to land in Punta Cana and stay there over night, despite the slow start to our holiday, it was a great time.

"What makes this hotel great is it is not one of those huge resorts. The size (223 rooms) allows you to be more personal with staff and other guests. Service was great, staff very friendly, always smiling. Very clean - the staff are always cleaning. The grounds are beautiful lush and green and very well maintained. Rooms are nice, but basic. Bathrooms are big, lots of water pressure in the shower. We had a plumbing problem with our first room and the hotel was good about moving us. We found the food very good. Lots of selection, especially fruits and vegetables. If you can't find anything on the buffet, there are 2 restaurants, Italian and Mexican (both very good, reservations required) as well as the 24 hr snack bar that serves really good pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries and nachos. You will not go hungry in this resort. There is only 1 bar but the bartenders seemed to keep thing moving fairly quickly. It was not a problem for most people because you did alot of socializing and meeting people while in the bar line up. There was always music and activites during the day if you wanted to participate, and a nightly show put on by the animation staff. The area by the pool and bar is where everyone tends to gather, especially in the evening. There are lots of tables and chairs to come and sit, have a drink, play cards, meet people or just hang out. The hotel has lots of lounge chairs both around the pool or on the beach. There was never a shortage of lounge chairs. We had a great time at this resort, it was perfect for us. It is not a huge complex or a party place. If you are looking for a nice clean very friendly resort with a Beautiful Beach and within walking distance to a little town for shopping, this is the pace to go. This hotel also has a website that you can check out."

"The perfect Hotel for us, big enough to offer all we need and small enough that we do not have to walk a mile to go to the beach. The garden is lush and well kept. Rooms are fine and clean with all amenities. The pool area is lovely and still offers a view to the sea. Food is very good, (especially in the restaurants) and the buffet offers a different theme every night. We enjoyed the Saturday lunch BBQ in the garden and the beach party. The staff are friendly and very personable (that is the Dominican way). The animation team is excellent with lots of activities planned from 9AM till 2AM if you want. They are a real asset to this resort and work so hard without making it seems so. Their shows are far better than most with great costumes and decors. The beach is the main reason we go there and unless you do not like wind, which comes every day and sometimes real strong, it will not disappoint. Venders are on the beach too as well as time share sellers. Kite-surfing School LEK (White tent at Hotel Caracol) offers a free kite-surfing introduction class to all hotel guests."
