Jamaica Vacations

"It was our first time in Jamaica and the bus ride to the hotel was awful. The driver and friends at the front of the bus had been smoking ganga when we boarded and when we got on the open road, he spent more time on our rights side and his wrong side of the road all the way to Trelawny. There were lots of complaints from hotel guests that their maids did not clean their room and that they had to pay them extra money for them to clean, the food was ok but was the same thing every day. Some of the lifeguards were getting the guests to get them drinks from the bar and were drinking on duty when they were suppose to be watching the pool and beach, There was never enough beach chairs and if you went onto the beach you were constantly hassled by Jamaicans trying to get us off the resort to sell us souveniers, all day, every day. The resort had a band at night andd after the band quit at a reasonable time, the drunks at the piano sang and drank until 3 and 4 in the morning, right outside alot of the rooms. All the off site activities cost lots of dollar so we had to choose our outings carfully. Security always checked who we were leaving the resort but seldome checked who we were coming back into the resort. I may try Jamaica again but maybe a different resort.

"We went on the jeep safari which was brilliant and the guide took us to a cliff top high above montego bay for us to take pictures and they were truly stunning... we took a evening trip to the bay where it lights up with movement(cant remember the name sorry)..the truly best bit was swimming with dolphins at dolphin cove."

"Absolutely loved Negril. Weather and water were most excellent. Loved the food and people. I would definitely go again. Been to Ocho Rios 20 years ago and preferred Negril as a bit more laid back. I would like to try to stay on the cliff's next time."
