"We just got back from Los Cabos and we were thrilled with the location. Very beautiful and surprisingly quite clean. We have been to a couple other places in Mexico and it was quite apparent that cleanliness of the area was not a concern.
The scenery was breath taking. The rock formations in the bay were so awesome.
The sands in the area weren't as fine as I thought they would be, but were still fine. There were still lots of vender's on the beach, but our resort had a roped off area so that the vender's had to stay behind them.
We would most defiantly like to go back."

"The Riu Santa Fe,very nice just like the pics you see on travel page! the weather very good,2 cloud/ hazy days the rest pure sunny warm.the beds very comfortable rooms very clean, lives up to 5 star rating.the food great.the beach very nice sand, the ocean good for swimming.evenings cool,in January.the entertainment very good!...but Sunwing airlines from Vancouver to Los Cabos,TERRIBLE!!!. first off we all line up at Sunwings ticket/bag check at 7:00 am to find out only as we get to counter,oh,yes your flight is delayed in calgary for 3 hours!!..o.k. question,#1.why is flight delayed 3 hours? oh,for refueling!?! really 3 hours to refuel!?!.so flight was sheduled for 10:00am,flight did not leave ground in Vancouver untill,2;00pm!! so there goes your first day in CABOS!! then we arrive Cabos airport 3 hours late, and no shuttle bus, look for Sunwings rep, only to tell us oh,you have to find your own way to hotel, your ride left 3 hours ago!!.taxi your only choice now!!..$80,out of pocket later we arrive at hotel!! the Sunwing rep at hotel says well if we had be called you were on flight we would have picked you up!! then on way back at Cabos airport we are informed again!! oh,plane delayed 3 hours in Puerto Vallarta!!!so flight that is scheduled to land Vancouver at 10:00pm lands at 1:00 am!!!now we have traveled to MEXICO every year for 20 years, WE HAVE NEVER HAD THESE PROBLEMS!!! STAY AWAY FROM!!! Sunwing airlines!!!"

"My wife and I traveled to Los Cabos in November 09 with friends and had a great time, definitely a place to holiday. Super weather and some excellent deep sea fishing. Although with all the glamour there are things to watch out for which are typical to Mexico, scams, and time share knobs. Especially when you arrive at the airport, the time share people are there with a vengeance. Once we got our bags and headed for our transportation the time share people are waiting for you. When I ignored them I got yelled at that I have to talk to my Sunquest rep to advise to where our transportation was., which was a lie and ended up being a time share knob. Not a good way to start, but after a few beers all was good!
The Mexican tourism needs to get a handle on this nonsense! And Sunquest and the other operators need to demand a change for there customers. Not sure if we will go back or not, since there is a whole world out there to see with less hassle!!"

"My husband and I purchased a last minute vacation on Escapes.ca for the second time. Our experience with Escapes.ca was again fantastic service as well as great pricing! Thank you so much to Escapes.ca as their website is very user friendly and a request for a king size bed was awaiting us when we arrived at our room. I had done research and homework in finding a great destination with little to no hassle for a relaxing vacation. Los Cabos, Mexico kept winning pros over cons time and time again. We flew directly from Kelowna on WestJet to Los Cabos International Airport in a little less than 4 hours which meant we would be enjoying our vacation in no time at all. Our tour operator was Sunquest and believe me, in the future we will be seeking to find more vacations operated by this well organized team. Our experience in the airport was again, organized as we were escorted to an air conditioned bus where our representatives were waiting and ready to strap us with our all inclusive bracelets. The hotel we chose was Riu Sante Fe which needs it's own review in itself as it was great value and perfect location. Our hotel was a 45 minute bus ride from the airport and as we were unloaded off the bus where we checked in, again, let's repeat, organized and very quickly, we made our way to our room.
Our seven days in Los Cabos never saw a day of rain and the warmth of the sun made us quickly forget the chilly weather we left behind. The warmth was brought out not just in the weather itself but the constant friendliness we received throughout the duration of our trip. As I had said earlier my husband and I did some research on where to find a relaxing, hassle free destination and I will state that this certainly met the requirements. Los Cabos is growing to be a large destination of many Canadians as well as Americans. Therefore, Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo contains some familiar sights that certainly don't go unnoticed such as Wal Mart, Home Depot, Applebees and Dominoes Pizza. English was widely spoken and I didn't feel a huge language barrier which to us meant a little less hassle. Please keep in mind however, that knowing some Spanish would be beneficial.
The location of the hotel was directly across from the famous arch and the even more famous "Lover's Beach" which of both were easily accessible by taking a water taxi for a mere $10 USD. Los Cabos is expanding and becoming increasingly modern with a stylish mall in Cabo San Lucas to updated highways and side roads. If you are travelers seeking some familiarity without giving up some standards than Los Cabos is the place for you.
My husband and had read about the swimming conditions in Cabo and new that when we booked our trip. We were completely fine with that. My husband and booked an unforgettable catamaran snorkel tour that took us from the marina in downtown Cabo San Lucas to Santa Maria beach where there was a safe cove to swim and snorkel amongst the endless varieties of marine life. Not to mention that the on the catamaran tour we witnessed several whales on our way to Santa Maria beach and back to the marina-AMAZING two for one excursion! Again I will mention that at the Riu Sante Fe, an inexpensive water taxi can take you over to Lover's Beach where you can sit on the beach and swim or purchase an inexpensive snorkel/fin set like my husband did and snorkel there as well.
I could go on and on about Los Cabos as you can tell. When asked if I would recommend this destination sun spot to anyone-YES I certainly would! Perfect weather conditions almost all year round with no rain and very little clouds to hide a hot sunny day. We were constantly met with friendly, English speaking locals who seemed to know quite a bit about every aspect of the area such as whale migration, tequila and the areas surroundings. The landscape of vast desert, beautiful rock formations, dancing oceans and clear starry nights are enough to lure you to this destination. But the main features are the endless activities and tours to do!! My husband and I packed into our seven days: Zip lining, catamaran/snorkel tour, whale watching and shopping at the Puerto Paraiso Mall. One week was not enough and there were so many other adventures that we wanted to indulge in such as the Hummer tour through the desert, ATV'ing, kayaking, Glass blowing tour, we wanted to venture into San Jose and the list goes on and on..........
Thankfully we took many pictures to remind us of where we spent an amazing and memorable holiday.
As I near the end of this review I feel that I must share a few drawbacks that accompany any vacation. This destination is not only a popular destination for snow birds alike but as well as it is a cruise ship port. On one day we saw three cruise ships all anchored in front of our hotel. It was an amazing sight to see but we had also heard that it was not the time to be going downtown. The reason being that vendors alike tend to hike the pricing and the downtown core itself would be jam packed, it wasn't a scene that we would have been particularly interested in partaking in. The only other drawback at times was the large population of American tourists that seemed to overwhelm our resort and the area. My husband and myself were very astounded at the level of rudeness that was displayed time and time again by most of the Americans we encountered. There were a few isolated incidents that didn't sit well with us. On a positive note, we did meet some great individuals from the U.S.A, they are out there I assure you!
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the people, the area, the beauty of the landscape, the educational discussions about the whales, great shopping and endless activities to partake in. We would certainly go back again!!"

"Lots of activities in and around Los Cabos...but it can get expensive so shop around. Us and 2 others vacationers paid only $10 U.S. each for a 50 minute tour to the Arch and into the Pacific Ocean in a glass bottomed boat, unbelievable !!"
